SQN Welcomes Industry Partners to Christchurch Office Open Evening

Last week, we officially opened the doors to our new Christchurch office and welcomed clients, industry partners, and friends of SQN for an evening of networking, collaboration, and hands-on learning.

It was fantastic to see such a strong turnout from across different sectors. The evening gave us an opportunity to showcase our new space, catch up with familiar faces, and meet new people working across the industries we support every day.

The formal programme kicked off with a welcome from our team, followed by updates from SQN's leadership and technical specialists. They shared about the company's continued growth, the services we provide, and the projects we're supporting.

One of the highlights of the evening was the live Mock Class A Enclosure setup, giving guests a closer look at the processes and controls involved in asbestos removal work. Attendees also had the opportunity to see an Easygel demonstration presented by Tyrel Marais, sparking plenty of discussion around practical applications in the field.

The event also highlighted the importance of collaboration between consultants, contractors, regulators, and project stakeholders in achieving successful project outcomes.

Of course, it wasn't all business.

From networking conversations to friendly competition on the Formula 1 racing simulator, the event created opportunities for meaningful engagement across a diverse range of sectors and disciplines.

Guests also enjoyed refreshments throughout the evening, with several raffle prizes adding to the excitement of the event.

Events like this are a reminder that our industry is built on relationships. Whilst technology, regulations, and projects continue to evolve, there is still tremendous value in getting people together to share experiences, ask questions, and learn from one another.

A big thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the evening such a success. We appreciate the support and are excited to continue growing our presence in Christchurch and across the South Island.

Interested in learning more about SQN's environmental, occupational hygiene, asbestos, training, or geoscience services? We'd love to have a conversation.
